When you were a kid, did you ever shade a piece of paper in every color of crayon you had, then cover it in a layer of black so you could carve in cool designs that would appear in a multitude of colors? That's how I feel now, the top layer peeling away and colors showing through in the shape of a still-to-be-defined me.
I’ve started a new Tumblr. This one will no longer be updated. Please follow me at staceyinsketches instead.
Tumblr doesn’t allow switching a new blog to be the primary though, so I believe that any notes I leave you will still appear as chasethestars.
Hardcore betaing our new game and hoping to win an iPad2. It’s been a week, but feels like a month, which I suppose is where it would take to get to this point with casual play. Can’t wait for launch.
I’ve kind of been stuck in this rut. I know what I have to do to get out of it, and I’ve started. I’ll be in Austin for a week next week. Hoping that’ll help too.
At the end of August, I got a new lens prescription, which is actually weaker than the one I got last year. Yay for being less blind and not waiting another 13 years for an eye checkup!
Picking frames took a while though. I wanted one with taller earpieces and kept getting drawn to one at a store that didn’t accept my insurance. I eventually ended up just buying those frames and having the lenses done at my new eye place, and I just got them back on Friday.
I mostly used my last pair as sunglasses. Maybe I’ll wear these more often because I love the flowers on the side so much (✿◠‿◠✿)
Over Labor Day weekend, I went to visit my brother, who just started graduate school at the University of Michigan. It was over 90 degrees that Saturday, followed by a thunderstorm that night that took out power in the entire neighborhood. It was nice though; I can’t remember the last time I watched out the window at a proper lightning storm.
The next 2 days were cooler in temperature, and we explored the arboretum and more of the campus. Seeing the excitement of hopeful freshmen their first week made me nostalgic for carefree college days. My favorite was the Law Quad and how their library was built underground.
Another self-portrait in progress. (No, I haven’t finished the last one yet, why do you ask? >_>)
When we went to Disneyland, I got sunburned for the first time in 10 years. Then on Sunday (whale watching), I totally got seasick even though I used to go sailing all the time with waves that size and was always fine. wtf body?
The SF Urban Zipline is back, and we rode it last Friday. It was fun, and I’m ready for a longer one, in nature.
