When you were a kid, did you ever shade a piece of paper in every color of crayon you had, then cover it in a layer of black so you could carve in cool designs that would appear in a multitude of colors? That's how I feel now, the top layer peeling away and colors showing through in the shape of a still-to-be-defined me.

Last weekend was my first Disneyland trip.
Day 1, Disneyland Park: Alice in Wonderland, It’s a Small World, Space Mountain, Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage, watching the parade while having dinner at Carnation Cafe, Haunted Mansion, Storybook Boats, Fireworks Spectacular.
Day 2, Disney California Adventure Park: Tower of Terror, Disney’s Aladdin – A Musical Spectacular, Mickey Mouse ice creams, Redwood Creek Challenge Trail, The Little Mermaid - Ariel’s Undersea Adventure, photos with Mickey at Paradise Pier, Soarin’ Over California.
I love all the details they put into the rides, and being taken through a shortened version of the stories. The Aladdin Musical was great; Genie was hilarious. And the Fireworks Spectacular was definitely spectacular. It’s like the intro in their movies, but better. Shooting star fireworks!
Next time, we’ll have to catch Fantasmic! and World of Color too.
