2009: Planes & Trains on 19 tracks
I’ve almost traveled more in just this year than I have in my life before—London, Paris, Vegas, London again, Vegas again, Portland, Vegas again again, and Arizona. With the exception of Vegas (oh, Vegas), these were first-time visits. 2009 was full of exciting times even though it started with being laid off from LiveJournal. But without that, I wouldn’t have landed an awesome new job...

it's not whether you win or lose...
It’s how you play the game, and I played to defend my title. No one has won twice before and I wanted to be the first. Unfortunately, Lady Luck wasn’t on my side this time. But I did go out on a good hand—4 tables left, my chip stack comparably low, I went all in on a Flush and lost to a Full House on the river, which she didn’t even realize she had. I think I knocked her out...
